Two very special friends of mine recently got married. The bride’s parents, and the groom’s father, all passed away at different points in their lives, and therefore, couldn’t be there to see their incredible children be married to one another. They wanted to have them present somehow, but thought photos might be too grim a reminder. So, they came to me, and asked me to paint portraits of them. Largely because my work is anything BUT grim. (Their words.) Even cooler, however, was the fact that they sent me OLD photos of them.
So here they are, in their youth. Beautiful folks, these three were. I’m posting the photos AND the paintings, so you can see how I translated ’em. Just because.
